Dark Mountain Innovations, LLC (DMI) is a small, highly qualified and specialized consulting firm situated in Northern Virginia at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  DMI is a Veteran-Owned and HUBZone Certified Small Business formed in July, 2002 and specializes in real property asset management matters concerning Government-owned facilities and business development of commercial real estate opportunities.  This unique, diverse, and experienced team focuses on strategic planning, program and project development, business process improvement, and innovative solutions to real property asset management and disposition challenges. 

Among our outstanding accomplishments is the creation and implementation of the first Real Property Exchange (RPX) Concept to be institutionalized within the Federal Government.  RPX has resulted in highly successful recapitalization of the current value of existing properties into new construction at more beneficial locations for the Army. 

Through DMI initiatives and professional consulting services, the RPX concept has increased in momentum throughout the Department of Defense.  The forecasted affect of RPX and related DMI efforts is the reapplication of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of current property value to new requirements.

In its first years of operation, DMI has provided a wealth of professional experience and accelerated property management performance and accomplishment to the Federal Sector.  Most recently, DMI has been significantly involved in assisting the US Army in developing managing its Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) 2005 Military Construction Program and Budget.  This effort entails the top-end management of hundreds of multi-million dollar projects annually all across the nation.  Rapid response to our clients' requirements has been a hallmark of DMI performance.
